MY PHILOSOPHY

I believe when we take our weaknesses and make them work for us – when we take our strengths and make them sturdier – we become better versions of who we are. I believe when we are honest with ourselves, compassionate toward ourselves, and allow ourselves grace we grow in every aspect of our lives.

My approach in coaching is straightforward – we keep going. We keep pushing to grow and to learn and with that effort comes improvement in all areas of our lives. Whether it’s excelling on a career path, surviving and thriving in overwhelming grief, or learning to live with mental illness and succeed anyway; so long as we learn, we cannot fail.

I believe that all people deserve safety and support while we do the hard work of challenging our current situation in order to shape our lives into what we want.

I am a trans-affirming, Black Lives Matter advocating, queer-youth supporting, intersectional feminist and queer woman. I believe in the power of deep, trustworthy relationships and the joy they can bring to us.

I’d love to meet with you and see what kind of future you’d like to build.

CODE OF ETHICS

As a member of the International Coach Federation and ICF Colorado I have made a commitment to adhere to the Code of Ethics as declared by the ICF. My personal ethical beliefs overlap quite a bit with those set out by the federation, but there are a few points of particular importance to me. I want anyone considering a coaching relationship with me to know what I value, and what I will ensure in our time together.

  • I will ensure that during the initial session my client understands the nature of coaching, the bounds of confidentiality, financial arrangements, and any other terms of the coaching agreement.

  • I commit to keep my clients’ interests above my own.

  • I commit to guard and guarantee my clients’ confidentiality, but I will take all reasonable steps to notify the appropriate authorities in the event a client discloses an intention to endanger self or others. As a youth athletic coach, I am a mandatory reporter in the state of Colorado, and I include that commitment in my Life Coaching practice.

  • I will not offer counseling or psychotherapy to any client in my services as a coach.

  • Furthermore, I will encourage my client to make a change if I believe they will be better served by a mental health professional, another coach, or by another resource and I will suggest my client seek other services when deemed appropriate.

  • I commit to build lasting relationships on a foundation of respect, integrity, and honesty with each client I serve.

  • I will devote all my energy, focus, and experience to helping each client I serve.

  • I commit to encourage my clients to set realistic goals, take appropriate actions, celebrate success, and believe in themselves.

  • I commit to create for my clients a space of safe and nurturing coaching, which will allow them to be themselves without fear of judgment or criticism.
